The Panthers lost to host, Holly (49-57)  Monday, but played a solid game. We trailed by 3 points after the first quarter (12-15) and by 5 points at halftime (24-29), three points by the end of the third (36-39). At the 6:05 mark in the fourth quarter, we pulled ahead (42-41) when Jaxon made a 3-pointer. With 2:23 remaining the Panthers trailed by 3 points (45-48), but Holly stalled and we had to foul to stop the clock. Holly made their free throws and a few more baskets in the waning minutes, and we missed a few of our attempts and shot only 30% from the free-throw line. That was the difference in the game. We were right there but couldn't quite get the win.  It wasn't because of lack of effort though. Gage Martinus had a double-double- scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the team. Jaxon Martinus also had 13 points, dished out 4 assists, and had 5 deflections.
