Michigan Lutheran Seminary's 3-point shooting and balanced scoring attack proved to be too much for the Panthers to overcome Tuesday as we lost 56-42 to the visiting Cardinals. Birch Run trailed by 5 points (24-19) at halftime, but came out strong in the third to take a 29-26 lead midway through the third quarter only to have it crumble as MLS hit some key shots and gained momentum. The Panthers fought hard, but could not pull out the win. Jaxon Martinus led Panther scoring with 14 points, and had 5 steals. Gage Martinus grabbed a team-high 9 rebounds. Conner Mausolf had 6 deflections. We travel to Freeland on Friday for a 7:00 contest.
