Birch Run varsity boys opened their season at home with a win over Unionville-Sebewaing 57- 37. The Panthers started the game strong- taking an 8 point (17-9) lead into the second quarter and building on that for a 12 point (29-17) halftime score. We led by 23 points going into the 4th. Birch Run had 3 players in double figures; Gage Martinus led the team with 14 points and 9 rebounds followed by Jaxon Martinus with 13 points and 5 assists. Trent Dalak had 10 points. The team put in a solid performance for the win. The Panthers travel to Alma Friday December 9th for a 7:00 PM contest.
