Birch Run Varsity Boys earned a convincing win over visiting Bentley 58-36 Monday in its season opener. The Panthers led 15-10 at the end of the first quarter, and gradually built on that lead through the third quarter when we had a 35-26 advantage.The fourth quarter was a strong one for us as we pulled away to take a 22 point lead (58-36) for the win. Jaxon Martinus paced the Panther's scoring with 25 points and also had 3 assists. Connor Mausolf grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds followed by Christian Stebner who had 6 rebounds. Keegan Hale had 3 steals and 3 assists. It was a nice team win and a great effort on defense!
