The Birch Run boys lost to host Swan Valley Friday night 57-68. The Panthers trailed by 3 points (15-18) after the first quarter, 10 points at half-time (28-38), 10 points after the third quarter (44-54), and lost the game by 11 points. The Panthers played hard and had good hustle, but too many turnovers throughout the game cost us opportunities to score points and at the same time gave Swan Valley more opportunities to score. Trent Dalak had a double-double- scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers in both categories. Jaxon Martinus led the team with 4 assists and 3 steals. The team continues to work hard and though our win-loss record is not good, we are learning and continue to improve!
