Birch Run varsity boys had a hard time hitting shots against visiting Frankenmuth's zone defense Tuesday, losing the contest 63-33. We had good looks but we just couldn't get our shots to fall. Frankenmuth is a good outside shooting team, and turning the ball over 26 times also hurt our opportunities. Gage Martinus led the Panthers with 11 points and 5 rebounds, and Jaxon Martinus had 4 steals and 3 assists. We will have to regroup and get ready for Alma Friday when the Birch Run varsity boys will start the season's second half of playing TVC conference opponents.
